Memorials, Monuments and the Best Sangria Ever!

It was time for a little vacation from work, and being that I hadn’t seen Blakeley in quite some time, this girl had to make her way to Washington D.C. for a girls weekend getaway.

Confession #1: I had never been to DC before. No school trips ever found me visiting the nation’s capitol, and that city never made it’s way onto my family’s vacation destination lists either.

Confession #2: I do believe that DC will be the next city I live in. :)

I’ll keep this post short since it’s mostly just a life update, but from Thursday to Monday, I had a blast meeting Blakeley’s roommate, spending time with our friend who came in from NYC, Rachel, shopping at the Tyson’s Corner, the greatest mall I’ve ever been to (choosing my words wisely as I do plan on visiting the Mall of America one day), sightseeing and eating the most delicious food from all the amazing restaurants in DC. I also thoroughly enjoyed myself at the cutest Gator bar in DC watching the Gators kick some butt!

At La Tasca in Clarendon after a couple pitchers of delicious Sangria!

Out for drinks... Waiting in line in the cold!

Meeting up with some Chi Omega's at Pour House in DC for the Gator game!
